First, i was sent up 3 flights of stairs with 2 suitcases and 2 bags whilst heavily pregnant as i wasnt warned the lift did not work. Then the bath plug didnt work but i was not given a number to call reception so i had to guess, i was told the manager should have showed me around the room and made out to be a liar when i said i hadnt met a manager! We then got put on the top floor, which is not great when heavily pregnant. Breakfast is awful and a waste of money. Cleaners are very noisey of a morning so no chance of a lie in. Staff are the main problem here.

"Pleasantly surprised"
We could have easily walked right past the hotel - it doesn`t even look like a hotel but once in, we were pleasantly surprised. The double room for my husband and I, and the twin room for our son and daughter were boutique=style but plenty big enough. Breakfast was adequate and, all-in-all, an enjoyable two day stay. Approximately 10 t0 15 minutes on the tube into central London - just a quick tip, nearest tube station is Kilburn Park, not Maida Vale as we thought - 2 minutes rather than 15 minutes.

"A/C broken, room like a sauna. Complained but it wasnt fixed by the time I returned from a function"
I have stayed here before and am concerned that the quality is going downhill. I will probably try once more (I use this hotel for overnight business commitments) but if I have problems then will stop using it.

"Front desk staff OK, breakfast staff unwelcoming and unhelpful. Bed comfy, rooms not user-friendly."
Room 408: TV at right angles to bed, so useless, but paid for in room rate. Bathroom ventilator fan switch position not obvious and difficult to reach. No soap dish. Not obvious how to use bath and shower controls, and learning how to use was not pleasant - got soaking wet while wearing day clothes. Basin stopper not obvious. Basin taps wobbly. Loo holder came off. Loo flushing difficult. Unable to open window, so no fresh air. Air-con noisy, as was the building air-con units outside the window. In short, poorly designed rooms, with emphasis is on so-called chic appearance, instead of on the user, and no instructions provided.

"Nice decor - bad air con"
Hi, Service ok but coud be happier Aircon in room 407 was very noisy and not very effective. Would have preferred to be able to open the window. For £123/night this was not good value.A good nights sleep is a basic!

"The lack of fresh air in the room, due to the windows being unable to open."
The entire staff where very helpful and polite from Lara the receptionist and the 2 girls in the dining room. The hotel in general was very pleasant, very clean and tidy, will definetly stay there again on our next trip to London. Only complaint would be the air in the bedroom, I have to say that it was probably the hottest couple of day,s so far this year !
