"Modern hotel near to main attractions of York"
Room was disappointing - looked over the back where there were noisy ventilation units - all the more frustrating because the room was too warm (no air con) and window couldn`t be opened far even if we had wanted to get more fresh air at the expense of noise! The room was clearly designed for someone with a disability (low basin, easy access shower, no bedside tables and only one chair) and this wasn`t necessarily a problem for us but it did make me wonder if was the less pleasant room/s in the hotel that were allocated for wheelchair users in which case that doesn`t seem fair. The TV was very small (not that you go away to watch it) and not what I would expect from the hotel`s modern image. Also there was only one spare power point so phone charging, laptop use and boiling the kettle all had to be juggled!! Breakfast was good and staff helpful.

"2 day family break"
Very plesent hotel, near the centre of York, Weatherspoons just across the road, parking a bit pricey at £20 for the 2 days, but that`s York, I would have thought the Hotel would discount this, but, if you want cheaper, I guess it`s go elsewhere. The room had plenty of lovely big towels, but only downside was a lack of cubboard space/closet we seened to be living out of our bags. Otherwise, a spotless hotel.
