"Good Location"
Hotel is ideally located to be able to reach all parts of London with only 3 minute walk to nearest underground station. Unfortunately we were allocated a basement room that was too small to be a triple room for 3 adults. Check in and out was trouble free.

"Ok if not spending much time in room"
We arrived at 3pm and check in was after 2pm. On entering our room it had not been cleaned from the previous occupants. Beds unmade, dirty sheets, dirty towels and full bins. We went to reception and they apologised and asked the housekeeping to clean our room straight away. We had to leave our bags and then keep ourselves busy for 40 mins. We had a long journey and wanted to unpack and go see the sights, unfortunately we could not do this until we checked in properly. On our return our room was clean and tidy. Very small room and a very small bathroom. However this was fine for us as we were out all day everyday and only used the room to shower and sleep. The staff in the hotel were also friendly and helpful.

"Clean but so small"
On the positive side the room was clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating......but the room was so small! For a family of 2 adults and one child it wasn`t fit for purpose we couldn`t even pass each other in front of the beds the en suite shower was barely big enough to have a decent wash! It`s a very good location though it if booking don`t think you are getting cheap yet good... it`s clean but very basic.

"Moved to another hotel, from Lord Jim to Victor, in Pimlico whilst we were on the journey there"
There was a problem with the room at The Lord Jim and we were contacted to inform us that we`d been moved to a sister hotel, Victor in Pimlico. The new hotel was as conveniently placed for us and appeared of a similar standard, maybe even marginally better. The hotel was clean and smart and whilst the rooms were slightly small, this was to be expected and not a problem to us at all. Whilst it was alarming that the hotel was changed so close to arriving (we were on the train on the way to London with route and means already sorted), I guess these things can happen and credit should be given to them for the efficiency and politeness with which we were approached, dealt with and transferred.

Basic but clean. we were unlucky with our room - it was downstairs and, for some reason, much hotter than the ground floor. Would be awful in the summer months. The beds were too soft (we all ended up with backache). Might have been better for one night. Other than that, exactly what you would hope for in a budget hotel.
Pleasant and clean, nice sta...
