"Very clean and stylish hotel."

Friendly check-in, room well equipped and pleasant. Good location (for me - I work close by). Can`t really say anything negative.

"Not too bad"

The staff on reception were very friendly and welcoming and happy to help wherever they could.We booked two rooms for two nights, there were a few little things wrong with each room, the air conditioning not working, tv not working, missing a shower curtain. Also the breakfasts were not really up to scratch.Overall not too bad though

"Excellent staff. Helpful, friendly and courteous."

Expensive for the size of room and facilities. Limited self service of coffee and tea; should be more generous. My shower head had no holder, therefore awkward to use. Good location.

"Noisy "

Very near mainline railway with constant train noise and also other residents` bathroom noises VERY evident. Clean though and adequate bathroom facilities. I would not stay there again.

"great service from the reception staff and hotel was clean. "

However our room was left open on our 2nd night and even on the 5th floor we could here the room shake from the tube lines.

"Friendly, clean, great location"

While Berne might not be everyone`s "cup of tea" it suited my purposes. It is an old fashioned Paris Hotel and in reality probably a 2 star. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location is excellent 10 mins on the Metro to Champs Elysees. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy but a bit tired looking. It is very acoustic in the Hotel but that`s Paris and an old hotel for you, I wasn`t surprised. For the money I paid (Hotels in Paris are expensive) I feel it was value for money.

Dear Guest,Thank you very much for your comments; I am glad the relation value/price was according to your expectations.It is true the hotel needs renovation, and actually we should be working on right now, but we are still looking for the right construction company to direct all operations. Bank credits have been already authorized, we already have a model room, plans and installations have been designed by our architects, so we are considering starting floor by floor in July-August. Staff very friendly and helpful.Beds comfortable but carpets and decor in need of refurbishment. Our room was on side of hotel nearest to railway lines and hence was very noisy with trains every few minutes .

"Very helpful friendly staff."

Well placed hotel near to metro and railway stations. Good breakfast . Rooms a little dated but any drawbacks more than made up for by friendly helpful staff. Good eating places locally. would stay again.

In the Berne Opera you can enjoy of the Mexican Hospitality in a French classic hotel. Once the hotel will be renewed we will end with junior suites as well, 4 people capacityI personally thank you for your comments, I am sure other travellers will appreciate too to know there are plenty of good restaurants nearby, all types of cuisine, French, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Spanish, fast food, etc ? no Mexican though, shame shame shame. "Not 3 star but great staff"

1. Rooms smell mouldy2. The AC does not work well3. The front desk staff is WONDERFUL4. Very helpful workers5. We had to switch rooms 3 times6. The second room had aleaky Air Condition and no shower curtain or glass7. Third room had a better smell but terrible termite eaten doors8. great location9. great breakfast

"Pleasant stay."

The Hotel is very convenient situated close to Metro.The room is cleaned but small. I think the furniture needs to be renewed. Reasonable bathroom.The staffs pleasant and helpful.We have enjoyed our staying in this hotel.The weather was quite hot but we could not menage to make the air conditioner to work.

"overall clean tidy and everything we needed just had a problem with the A/C leaking"

Found on our second day water leaking in the bathroom and had been really hot all night as no A/C. However when this was reported in the morning by the time we came back in everything fixed and working. The staff were all very helpful and everything else was fine. Thank you.

"Staff very helpful. Breakfast in lovely cellar area."

Some noise in room from nearby railway and motor for lift. Both these facilities are, however, useful and so we were happy to pyu up with the noise.
