"Great location, excellent staff and facilities"

Hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the sandy beach and has great transport links into the city. There are a number of good restaurants on the seafront within walking distance. The staff are very helpful and knowledgable and are happy to advise on any number of isues. Rooms are spotless and well furnished

"Central, clean & nice rstaurant/bar staff"

Check in staff not always helpful & did not have room ready for 3pm. Bar closes at midnight - too early & unable to sit outside once bar closed,

"Nice modern hotel close to the beach"

We stayed 3 nights here. All friendly and helpful staff. Good showers and nice facilities, especially the sauna! The jacuzzi was broken but had warm water. It`s clost to a bus tour stop and is about a 25 euro taxi ride from the airport which isn`t too bad. Enjoy!

"A gem of a hotel! Tucked away from the hustle bustle but right there amongst it if you want it!"

I stayed here as a single traveller taking a few days away from the rush of general life in the UK. I was amazed at the modern, cool layout and facilities of this hotel. It`s nt too large (approx 130 rooms I think) and therefore the staff (who were brilliant) make you feel like a person and not just a number.The location is fantastic, with the beach and a shop selling english newspapers just a 2/3 min walk away. The metro within 5 mins. Las Ramblas and the hustle bustle a few stops, about 15 mins on the metro.I can`t wait until next year to take the family back to this wonderful hotel, check out the facilities and other reviews, you won`t be disappointed!

"A very pleasant hotel to stay in whilst visiting Barcelona"

The Icara Barcelona is situated in an excellent location, easily accessible to the City via the Bus services and the Metro within easy reach. The beach is also located just across the road., so really we felt we had best of both worlds!. The hotel itself was even better than we expected, the rooms were lovely ,cool ,very clean & modern.The food was very fresh, well presented, and served quickly. The staff were all most pleasant, especially the reception staff who were most welcoming, spoke very good english and were excellent at giving us advice on transport, etc. I would love to visit this hotel again if back in Barcelona, and would definitely recommend it to any of my friends. The bar staff could improve by being more attentive to the needs of guests who require drinks in the garden. The room was clean and the location of the hotel is perfect to enjoy all aspects of the city. Will be back.

"Hotel and location good, restaurant poor"

The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff very helpful. The restaurant was extremely poor with unknowledgeable staff, poor food and little response from restaurant management. The frontline staff were pleasant and helpful. Great location for most things in Barcelona, the beach and Olympic harbour being a shor t walk away. Well served for buses to Place de Catalunya and Sagreda Familia.
