"Clean room, well serviced and I felt looked after by friendly staff"

I booked a single room for three nights to attend a Conference. The bed was actually a single (you don`t often see this these days!), but it was firm and comfortable, and the room was spacious, with a lovely modern bathroom, It was really well serviced every day. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and I had a good meal in the Restaurant. Breakfast service was sometimes a bit slow, as there seemed to be a shortage of staff at key times, especially when lots of Conference guests turned up at once. Overall though, a very positive experience.

"First thing we saw was a massive crack across the sink. Not good, not hygienic spoilt the room."

I believe that it should be more clearly stated that the swimming pool and gym are not in the same building, so it is not ideal for an early morning swim.

All though we only spent one night I was very impressed with the room quality, spa facilities and the parking facilities.

Good in most respects, but the almost complete lack of warm, let alone hot, water was a definite disadvantage - it`s all very well being subjected to `bracingness` some of the time, but not always!

"Good Central Location"

Room small but adequate for short time. No view. Hotel reception helpful with maps etc. We didn`t have dinner in hotel but came back quite late and staff very obliging in bringing us a snack Breakfast good but hot food only just warm and fried eggs hard. Waiting staff very nice. Car parking £8 per night.

"Very nice traditional hotel"

We enjoyed our stay and the location is great. I did find the double bed uncomfortable in room 360 as it was two singles made as a double with a hard ridge down the middle. Apart from that everything was good.

"Clean room"

The room was adequate and the bathroom was in proportion to the room, it was very clean, the only downside is the walls are very thin, the couple across the hall had a domestic at 3.30 waking up the whole floor. I was very impressed that a member of the hotel staff appeared and asked them to keep quiet.

"Great central location and comfortable room"

The Grand was a good choice for a weekend in Bristol, located mid way between the main shops and the docks area. The staff were very friendly and efficient and our room was well presented and comfortable. Secure parking at the hotel was well worth the £8 charge per night. We didn`t eat at the hotel because of busy schedule, but restaurant and menu looked good. Would recommend the hotel to friends and family and would happily stay again

NIce old style hotel, very smart and well run. I had a cheap room, it was small but well fitted out and spotless.

Staff very friendly, nice atmosphere, lovely and clean. I would highly reccommend this to any of my friends!
