very pleasantly surprised, our room was exceptionally clean and contained all we needed for an overnight stay. breakfast was a real bonus and food supplied was fresh and certainly more than expected. ALL staff were pleasant, cheerful and welcoming - more so than some 4* hotels I have stayed in. we will definitely use this hotel again and recommend it to others. hopefully all the hotels in this chain will attain this standard.

"Good value hotel, room comfort marred by air conditioning unit control."

Excellent service from Hotel Direct, easy and uncomplicated on- line booking system.The Holiday Inn Express at Dartford was good value, clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. The only thing that marred our stay was the air conditioning.For some reason it was not possible to operate or regulate the air conditioning unit from the room. The unit was controlled from reception. It was also switched off in the morning.The daily weather was warm but cooled considerably in the evening which called for temperature regulation. Whilst the reception staff were helpful, I did not enjoy continually having to speak to them.I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express Hotels before and not encountered a problem. If this system is adopted by other hotels in the chain, I will look elsewhere.

We stayed for 2 nights in a very comfortable and clean family room,really pleasant staff,breakfast bar is fab` and excellent transport links into London for a great day shopping and dining. Would recommend to anyone.

"Clean Spacious room, welcoming staff and good service"

Even tho booking agent hadnt finalised bookingwith hotel we where able to swiftly get sorted, rooms where clean and tidy and spacious, breakfast was good although limited with choice but certainly enough for our family trip! slight issue with one key card but other than that no complaints!

"No reservation when we got there, luckily they had a room for us and sorted it out with no fuss."

Hotel was nice and convenient for both Bluewater and Lakeside shopping centres. However, we had no hot water in the shower.

"Heating brrrrrrrrrrrr"

Problem with heating in room seems to be controlled by reception and on close inspection the unit requires a bloody good hoover as the dust has clogged up the fins and blew a constant freezing air.Reception staff are unaware of offer vouchers from Saga which we will take up with Saga .all you high ups need to inform your staff of offers as they were puzzled and we were left with 20% more on our bill. We booked as a result of being a Saga member. NOT A CLUE.
