The hotel itself was immaculate, staff extremley helpful and friendly. Great location for any activity for a family.I had two teenage girls travelling with me and they loved the hotels ambience. The room was brill and a real surprise.Would have no hesitation to re book another stay. Breakfast was included in the price of our stay.10 OUT OF 10. Having teenagers meant they could enjoy the city centre at night knowing their hotel was near by and plenty of shopping onthe door step

"Not gleaming "

It was good value for money but overall not gleaming it`s a very old hotel and slightly shabby in the rooms very tired looking First impression is good And hotel staff are pleasant and helpful served purpose

beds clean nd comfy bathroom clean also bedrooms could do with decorating and change of carpet breakfast a good choice perfect city location and would return

" hotel rooms are dated then again you get what you pay for ( staff very helpfull )"

on websites etc the hotel looks good , but on arrival you are met with two for one drink promotion posters etc all over the reception area and outside, which kind of brings the feel of the hotel down to an old b n b at blackpool.on arrival to our room we found the carpets to be thread bare in places ,loose sink taps , one towel beteween two and two pillows with the same thickness as after eights ,immediatly asked to get upgraded to another room but none avalible, until the next night, so we agreed to stay on the hope the upgrade we payed for would be better , so we got an excecutive room for the remaining two nights however does excecutive meen that youre curtains dont fit your windows or youre lamp shade is hanging off, im not sure

"friendly staff,food good,dated furniture in bedroom but in keeping with character of the hotel."

three niggles1),tv remote not working,2)toilet seat loose and likely to break,3)when showering water sprayed over the top shower curtain .still awaiting attention upon departure

The hotel was in an excellent position and central to everything we wanted to do - shopping, theatre, etc. Very clean hotel and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was a pity Jenny`s restaurant was not open until 6.30 as we would like to have had a meal there before we went to the theatre. Breakfast was very good value.

I found my stay at the most enjoyable, all the staff where very helpful, polite and nothing was any trouble for them.

Location excellent, and all is all reasonable for the price.Couldn`t have been nearer to Manchester Central.Room very small though, no window and thin partitioning resulting in being able to hear everything next door.

no windows in the room it was way too warm.Also the cleaners came into the room a couple of times as the room was coming up vacant on the system.would stay again though as it`s very central

"Very friendly and helpful staff at Britannia Manchester"

Was in a triple room with an upstairs which was amazing. Room was big in size and very comfortable. The only thing was the carpet was a little threadbare but would not let that stop me staying there again. Very central. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Definitely be my place to stay next time in Manchester.

"A very old and tired Hotel"

After taking up the offer of an ungrade to a room with a window, we found that the room was tired and worn out. The glass sliding wardrobe doors were broken, the rear legs of the dressing table were broken and the table was supported against the wall, there were also stains on the chairs. Receiption area was good but the staff thought we had booked twice. The dining area and the self service breakfast was good.

Convenient central location, next to Chinatown. Stayed in single windowless room, which is OK to one night. Buffet breakfast is pleasant.

The hotel was very clean, the staff were very helpfull and friendly and there was a great choice at breakfast. I would definately stay at the hotel again

"room 449. noisy,very old fashioned and dark."

at 12 pm ish the noise in the room above was unbearable, only people walking around but it was very loud. Other people before me, must have complained about it. The man in the room next door thought he was making very personnal businsess phone calls but no he wasnt . At 6am we heard every word he said! We would not stay at your hotel again.
