"Disappointed."

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The only lift holds just three people. Our room was large but basic. Pillows were small and flattened foam. The basin in the bathroom was unacceptably old and damaged with large old cracks and chips, along with the top of the tap missing. Very unpleasant to use. Someone opened the door and as I turned in surprise to see who it was the door was closing. When checking out, although reluctant, I was persuaded by the receptionist to speak to the manager about our experiences. I wish I hadn`t as although polite, the manager`s accent combined with the hubbub around us, made it impossible for me to clearly understand what he said. The gist however was an apology for someone entering the room and I shouldn`t expect more from a hotel of only three stars. We paid virtually £100pn., not including breakfast.The food in the Ventana restaurant was pretty good, but the wine list was sadly lacking.
