But overall I would stay again for convenience and can`t expect more for the cheap price.

Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. We stayed from 29/11 - 02/12/2011 and again from 17/12 - 19/12. As our Gatwick flight landed at 8am, we were at the hotel at 9.30am on the morning of 17/12 and were very relieved that your receptionist, Jennifer, kindly offered to let us have our room a bit earlier. Bit of a problem in the evening as there was a private party and any food orders from private hotel guests had to be delayed. As we were very tired (because of the time difference from where we had been on holiday), this was very disappointing and we felt priority should be given to guests actually staying at the hotel. In general, your staff were helpful and friendly. We also spoke to some friends who stayed at Russ Hill, which I believe is part of the Britannia group and although we were happy with the Europa, we might try Russ Hill next time.

"staff appearance lets the hotel down"

The receptionist is the face of the hotel when the guest arrives and a first [good] impression is very important as it colours how you feel about the hotel. Whilst the receptionist was competant her appearance was not one I think Brittania hotels would want as the first impression of the Europa. Greasy unkempt hair, scruffy blouse, tie dangling from her neck, bad nails and a lack of interest in the guest, no welcome or eye contact. This girl had a name badge "Sarah" I am sure there are big improvements to be made here.
