"Basic and dated. No excuse for the place to be filthy"

I expect a budget hotel to be basic. It was used as a quick overnight stay. However, it doesn`t cost a lot to clean a place. The corridors were dusty and needed a good vacuum. Unfortunately, this level of bad housekeeping extended to the room. The floor was full of dust and I was able to spell out `clean?` On the crime costing the upper tiles in the bathroom. I imagine that this is still there. Poor show.

"Excellent Value"

This is the third time I have stayed at Altrincham Lodge, it is excellent value for money, clean,well maintained, quiet, plenty of parking, helpful staff and very handy for Manchester - what more could you want! The adjoining Pelican Pub provide a good breakfast. Highly recommended.

"The hotel was ok for your basic needs!!!"

I do think the bathroom needed updating as It is starting to get old in room number 16, also the toilet roll holder is rusty the door also for the bathroom doesn`t close completely and there was a musty in there to. The bed I slept in was squeaky as well, I would also say when walking down the corridors they don`t ever have the radiators on so its freezing cold which is not good when your coming back in from the freezing cold outside already. The last thing I would say is I do think the outside walls could do with some tlc as the wood and paint was starting to come off.

"Another nice stay"

The room we were allocated was clean, warm and very comfortable. Wifi is brilliant. Good clean bathroom with brilliant shower. Will continue to stay here whenever in the area.

The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and polite. Exceptional value and service. Would recommend to friends and family. Not only would I use this hotel again....I actually HAVE. I am very impressed.

Bathroom not very appealing, old with nasty smell. Worst of all was the fresh mould on shower wall tiles. Wasn`t engrained but wiped off if touched whilst washing. Sheets were clean but had to wash mugs as they smelt of polish, certainly hadn`t gone through a dishwasher. It was a cheap hotel so didn`t expect the wow factor but basic cleanliness lacking.

"Looking a little tired"

Have stayed here over the last 10 years. Functional, comfy, good value. Wifi is always a bit patchy. Bathrooms have good shower but are a bit moldy. Needs a bit of investment.

"Great Price and location but could do with a good clean!"

Stayed for two nights recently in a family room. +`s £42 a night. V`good location close to Motorways/free parking. Five/ten minute drive will get you to the Trafford center, five more Manchester centre. Flaming grill pub on site, serves some nice dishes at v`good prices. Co-op and take aways a 2 minute walk away. Room had all the amenities for a short stay, hair dryer, tea + coffee, TV etc. Stayed on a Wednesday and Thursday, whilst the hotel appeared quite busy, in the room it was quiet all night. Due to the heat the room also had an electric fan. ?`s: The standard of cleanliness. Towels changed on both days but the room on closer inspection you could find layers of dust behind the sink, lying on the tea and coffee facilities, along the skirting boards etc. Whilst the rooms could do with refit it certainly appeared that the cleaners could do with paying more attention to detail. Overall we enjoyed our short trip away, and couldn`t grumble due to the price we paid.

It`s not the Ritz but it`s not the Pits! Very clean & tidy. Staff very nice & helpful. Comfortable bed. Nice pub alongside with great range of food. Only one issue & that was that the boiler had packed in so no heating in the room. Not the end of the world but it was a tad cold. No problem using again & probably will on match days.

"Comfortable room, friendly staff great for overnight stay before flying from Manhester Airport"

Comfortable room, friendly staff on reception.Easy to get to Manchester Airport, ideal for overnight stay before a flight.Only criticism was no milk for a cup of tea in the room, I`m sure this was n overnight & if I had gone to ask for some I wold have been given some! .Car park was rather full and the parking spaces are quite narrow, but overall a good hotel for the price.

"fair price, ok location"

outside of hotel dated/run down/bit of a mess. small entrance lobby. only one entrance to hotel so rooms can be a bit of a walk from reception. Always guests hanging around entrance smoking which isnt ideal. rooms small but functional. lights in wrong place in rooms though. TV on wall so hard to get a good angle to view it at. Very quiet in lodge despite car park being almost full.

"Excellent Value for Money Hotel, comfy beds and quiet rooms"

One nights stay at the Altrhincham Lodge was really good, clean and comfy beds, quiet rooms, easy check in. One little quibble, there was some long standing cobwebs behind the toilet door and the towelholders were full of a few weeks of dust, and a bit more milk for tea/coffee would be great. apart from that, all great, would stay again, as a fabulous service also from Pelican Pub attached and the TRAFFORD taxi company was excellent, on time, clean cars, cheaper than Altrincham Taxis and efficient service into the city centre. Overall a great overnight stay near Manchester.
