"Simple, comfortable accommdation. Just what we needed for a short stay in London."

Small room but cosy and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Very convenient location and pleasant people looking after us.

The hotel is in a quiet (for London) street. The accommodation is comfortable and the bed has plenty of pillows with more in the wardrobe if required. The bathroom is adequate although at 8am on the first morning the shower was only luke warm and at 8.45am on the second morning it was just tepid - so get up early if you like a hot shower in the morning. The small dinning room gets very busy in the mornings, another reason to get up early. Our pot of tea on the second morning was made with cold water! However the busy waitress changed it and apologised. We booked on a B & B basis which is just as well - the price for breakfast quoted on the menu shocked me - we would have gone out to eat. When we checked out the receptionist offered to hail a taxi for us. She did this quickly and efficiently, came back in to collect us and then refused a tip. So a nice quiet hotel with some faults but nice staff.

"Wouldn`t hesitate if I had to stay here again."

For Eurodisney, presented ideal stay night before from point of view of both arrival and point of departure, 2 - 3mins walk from Russell Square tube. Off quiet street and fairly central for other visitor attractions.Room spacious and clean as was bathroom Big double bed and fairly comfortable sofa bed. A little noise through floor as guests returned later at night. Complementary paper and typical continental breakfast. No surprises, a straighforward experience. Staff polite, helpful and unobtrusive.

We were given a family room which was down in the basement which the one part of the room felt cold almost damp the rest of the room was great the size for a family was fantastic. there is an outside door with a number lock I felt we should have been given the code in case of fire or emergency. The staff were helpful great you can leave your cases once checked out. Also the bar could have done with a bit more choice than bottled larger.

"Very good hotel - breakfast average"

Enjoyed our one night stay at the Clarendon. We were upgraded on arrival to a deluxe room which was very spacious and had what looked like a new bathroom. Everything very clean apart from one of the cups in room needed to be washed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a continental breakfast included in our room rate and whilst plentiful would say it was fairly average. Understand that a full english breakfast is very expensive. Having said that we would stay again as its a fantastic location.

This hotel was very comfortable and clean. Furnishings were very good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had room service and were very pleased with the quality and size of portions, which were very generous. The room rate also included continental breaffast which was also very good and plenty of choice. A gem of a hotel in London. We went with friends who were also very pleased and we all would stay again.

"Very enjoyable stay for two nights."

The staff were very helpful and polite. Room fine with many facilities including tea making and TV. Bathroom fine and the room was overall very clean and well kept. The minor downside was it overlooked the road and could be a bit noisy at night but this did not cause a problem. Breakfast very good and again staff very attentive. Good location for our visit to London including the evening shows. Overall very pleased and would stay again.

"A great central location with easy access to the attractions of London as a whole."

After reading some previous reviews about this hotel, we were a little worried about our stay - but that was totally unnecessary even though there was a musty smell on the corridor outside our room which you could also smell in the room, but to a much lesser degree. As we were staying for three nights, we phoned reception who immediately came up to our room with an apology and a key to another room for us to consider and they explained that they had had a leaking roof. This was actually was an upgrade, which we were delighted with. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely stay in this hotel in Bloomsbury and everything was so easily accessible by foot or public transport. We would definitely return to this hotel!

"Pleasant Staff, Excellent Service, Good Location"

On arrival we were dealt with in a expedient manner, we were allocated a lovely room, large bed, modern style yet retains the period charm. Would have liked free internet just to check emails, think £5 charge was abit steep, come on Grange, this is 2011. Continental Breakfast was very good with lots of choice of cereal, fruit, pastries and ham/cheese. Yes it was abit cramped in there but the staff were on hand to sort any problems of which there were none. It was the best use of the available space, I couldn`t fault it, I left full and refreshed for the day in London, the coffee served with a smile. The location is excellent with a short walk to the centre of most attractions. Many thanks to the staff for making our visit one of the best and look forward to future bookings.

"The hotel offered far more comfort, space and overall quality than we expected for the price"

I would thoroughly recommend The Grange Clarendon. The location is attractive, close to Russell Square and the British Museum and we found it very quiet. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The standard of cleanliness was very high, with good quality toiletries provided in the spacious bathroom.
