"Very friendly and helpful staff"
Overall we enjoyed our stay in family suite. Initially we we sent in the wrong room on our first night when we were very tired. But the accepted their mistake and were very helpful with everything else.The room was of a good standard and spacious.Certainly recommend to friends for staying.

"Comfortable, modern hotel. "
We spent 3 nights here, very comfortable, clean, modern hotel. Good facilities and very helpful staff. Good position for seeing Madrid, close to Parc Retiro and the metro station.We ate in the bar a couple of times and it was reasonably priced. Great cafe just up the hill for breakfast.Good base for exploring a fantastic city.

"Nice and quiet in the room overnight - so many hotels are noisy"
Could have done with a bath rather than just a shower and also there was no storage space on the bedside tables. Disappointing that the restaurant and bar in hotel was closed (found out that sister hotel`s was open) Stayed in America - Europa was open

"Good hotel, good location, good price."
Very nice modern 4* hotel in a good location. If you like walking you can take a (rather long) stroll across the Retiro Park to the main galleries. Alternatively metro and bus stops are both very close to the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable (with a free supply of water in the refrigator). The staff were extremely helpful. The restaurant was good. The garden was a welcome oasis at the end of the day. The only downsides were lack of hot options at breakfast and the fact that the hotel does not have a pool. However prices are very reasonable in comparison to hotels the other side of the park.

We were happy with the staying at the Grand Ayre Colon. The hotel is a bit far from the Centre, a taxi from the centre would cost about 10 euros, but the location is quite and close to the Parco el Ritiro so if you don`t fancy noisy neighborhoods this is a good choice. The hotel is very clean, new and modern. The restaurant has a good quality food. The standard rooms and the bathroom are a good size. Overall a good experience.
