"Clean, tidy but wouldn`t book to stay here again"

Confusing reception area, room compact and rather small. Bar closed at 12pm, so couldn`t relax and enjoy a night cap when we arrived back after a great night at the o2 ( we arrived back at around 12:10). Breakfast was buffet style, but not very warm. Left us with a disappointed feeling - fairly basic considering the 4* ratings. Felt very underwhelmed. Overpriced snack shop- paying £7.50 for a cheese and ham wrap.Pros- clean and tidy- lovely ensuite shower room. Helpful staff who delivered additional coffee sachets to the room.

"A pleasant stay,"

Conveniently located with a nice atmosphere. I found staff to be polite and friendly both in the restaurant and front of house. The room itself was nice too.We both enjoyed the breakfasts and had a pleasant stay.Any criticisms I could offer would be too minor to mention.Would definitely stay again.

"Super find"

Lovely hotel exceedingly close to the Docklands Light Railway. Rooms are a good size, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good, always plenty of food which was constantly topped up. We would definitely stay here again. If you travel by taxi to the hotel make sure that you have the address and postcode so the taxi knows where he is going. Ours had never heard of the hotel and struggled to find the way in to it. He did knock £10 off the fare as he was so embarrassed about this.

"Perfect location and very good value"

The xxxxx Hotel at Excel was perfect for our 1 night stay in London to see a concert at the 02. There is ample on site parking at £16 per 24 hrs and the Prince Regent DLR station just across the road. We had a lovely large King Size room with 2 windows overlooking the Thames but the only downside for us was the bathroom facilities layout. Although good quality and stylish, the sink area was separate being in the main room divided from the toilet and shower area by a very heavy sliding door which deliberately didn`t shut all the way across with no means to lock it. You do ideally need to be inhibition free with your room mate! Also, you do need lots of strength to pull this door across as it was so stiff - an older, infirm person wouldn`t have managed it. Having said all this, the hotel itself was stylish, modern and comfortable with very attentive staff. The breakfast was excellent and with checkout not until 12:00pm, we made full use of the gym, pool and sauna before leaving.

"Modern hotel"

Stayed overnight after O2 concert. Convenient. Room not warm enough and couldn`t get the heating to stay up. Bed too firm for us but otherwise a well appointed room, clean and modern. Breakfast,included for us at £120, was fine. Not very convenient for central London.

"Superb Hotel"

Comfortable, relaxing hotel, loved the area where hotel is situated, easy to access all areas af London. Our dinner in the hotel was lovely staff very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel. Booked this as a surprise for my husbands 60th Birthday it was perfect. Big Thank you to everyone at the hotel.

"Stayed one night 14/5/16"

Very nice greeting but learn how the lifts work before you leave reception. Rooms lovely bed very comfortable. Swimming pool adequate but limited changing facilities and had to shower in family/disabled wet roomPlenty of choices for breakfast but plates cold for cooked breakfast as were the mushrooms Very nice staff and would happily come back now we know how to operate lifts and pool

Great rooms (with a great view) very comfortable and clean. Very accommodating staff. Very good breakfast and meal in the restaurant. Our second stay at this hotel. Would book again.

Really enjoying our stay. Big comfortable bed, friendly helpful staff, amazing breakfast buffet. Only down side is the price of the bar, but that`s par for the course I suppose!

"Great hotel but"

I`ve stayed here several times and loved it especially now that they offer a cooked breakfast as well as a continental one. Parking can be impossible if there`s an event on at the Excel next door as they don`t have a dedicated car park.

"Ideal location for the O2 arena."

Very disappointed with this hotel. We booked this hotel as it advertises a swimming pool and gym. On arrival we were not informed that the pool was closed for maintenance and only upon enquiring did we find out that it would remain closed until the next day. The keyboard in our room was broken and not replaced despite informing reception . I wouldn`t stay here again as there are better places which are cheaper.

"Great service great room"

Great staff - it is quite a distance from central London but once you get used to the trains it`s great. Thanks to Valentino for bringing up an extra bed, really polite and couldn`t do enough for us. Would happily book again.

"Not really up to expectations"

The Room and Bed were comfortable and up to expectations.Room Service was none existent. The range and availability of food and drink was poor. There was not even a mini bar in the room fridge and for most of our stay the bar was closed and even light snacks were not available. This hotel is probably good if you are on business and attending a conference but I got the impression it was staffed by a skeleton staff over weekend and is not suitable for a relaxing holiday time. So use for business not leisure.

"great location for the o2"

A very good comfortable hotel close to the o2 and right next to the Excel.Good rooms, excellent choice at breakfast. Couldn`t fault it for an overnight stay. Recommended!

"Great Hotel for 02 Venue"

Looks great inside and out. Good rooms, great breakfast.We were going to the 02 Music Venue and found this Hotel nearby. Getting to the venue is easy, just take the Dockland Light Railway from just outside the Hotel and then go via Canning Road subway or do what we did and take the Cable Car across to the 02 - which is a great way to kick off the evening!

"Fabulous stay!!"

We stayed here on the 12th June for 1 night because we were going to watch Take That at the O2. The hotel is right next to the tube station and we went over to the O2 on the Emirates skyline. It was an amazing experience!! The hotel itself is very clean and the rooms are decorated to a very high standard. The bathroom was very modern, the bed was very comfortable and there was every amenity available to make your stay very enjoyable. We had breakfast included in our package and there was lots of variety and it was very enjoyable. We would highly recommend and look forward to staying here again soon
