"Comfortable and well situated"

The Burns has comfortable room and is in a good location for quick access to the City. Breakfast could include better fruit and bread but on the whole very acceptable.

The hotel was good quality although, being an older building, the floors creaked a lot. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The area was also reasonably quiet being about 10 minutes by tube away from the centre.

One night stay - room small but clean and well-equipped. Bathroom door wouldn`t shut properly.On lower ground floor so room a bit dark, and didn`t smell too fresh.Ordered a summer special baguette-would have broken my teeth as bread so hard! Got a refund.Breakfast fine.Great location, close to tube station.Average and expensive for room only (£73)

Enjoyed our stay, the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The only reason we did not give excellent was that the rooms wallpaper was a bit shabby particularly the ceiling. Otherwise l would recommend as a place to stay.

A nice hotel in a great location, very convenient for both the tube and overground trains (especially handy as our stay coincided with a tube strike). Although the decor was perhaps a little tried, the hotel was clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff.

"Good Hotel"

the staff at the Burns hotel was very friendly ,although my interaction with the staff was very minimalminimal I found the room to be very warm so much so that during the night I left the window open.

"A well-managed hotel that plays out of its league."

I`d stayed at the Burns Hotel before but a while back so it was great to return and enjoy an even more comfortable stay. Whatever you`re doing, keep on doing it, guys. A bonus is this location is handy for both tennis championships and the West End. After watching a play I was back in my room by 10.20 pm. Single travellers - rooms small but beautifully formed. Staff very friendly.

"Suits me for short stay"

The hotel is not super modern, but I prefer the slightly vintage aspect and the location just off the Earls Ct road and with easy access to the Underground and all of central Londinium.

"Characterful hotel, value for money."

Had a really lovely stay. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Room was beautiful. Beds very comfortable and view outside so pretty. Slept like a log. Will definitely book here again when I return to London.

"Nice little place to stay"

In a great location for Royal Albert Hall which is why we booked this hotel. The staff are friendly and our room ( 110 ) was very clean. I would say a budget hotel but good for the money. Would probably stay here again.

"Clean, Convenient and Friendly"

Rooms were clean, location was convenient (about a block away from a London Underground station), and staff was friendly. Every floorboard in my room creaked, as well as some of the adjoining rooms, but total experience was good.

"small bed!"

The room was nice a bit small but for the money can`t complain. The bed was very small i am a small lady and my feet were hanging off the end of the bed and my husband fell out of it too!! One of the towels also gad a speck of blood on it!! They also need to turn the heating down as it is red hot in the hotel

"We really enjoyed our stay"

The Hotel itself was comfortable with everything we needed. What made it so enjoyable was the welcoming and friendly manner of all the staff, at reception, at breakfast and looking after the rooms. Thank you all.

"Great over night stay"

We stayed for one night and everything was excellent from start to finish. Clean and fresh room with t.v. to wind down after a hectic day sightseeing in London to a lovely breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful. Couldn`t fault a thing, thank you.

"Good hotel, very helpful staff "

Very friendly staff, conveniently situated, rooms average, but bathrooms very clean and good shower facilities. Had lower basement room which had poor ventilation for the bathroom. Cleaning staff seem to congregate on the basement floor early in morning so woke up way too early on Sunday. Apart from this niggle a pleasant hotel.

Really enjoyed my one night stay there. All staff were friendly and helpful without exception. They were glad to help. Breakfast really good and good helpful service. Would definitely stay again.

"Initial experience"

On arriving at the hotel which was convenient for the short stay in London and the hotel was on Wimbledon`s recommended list. Booking in went smoothly, however, on entering the bedroom we discovered it exceeding hot and the windows had devices fitted which prohibited opening to increase ventilation. This situation would have made comfortable sleeping possible. I contacted the reception who said she would contact the manager and would get back in 5 minutes. This did not happen so we returned to the reception area where the manager arrived. He informed that he would try and removed the obstructions to the windows and get some fans to cool the room. Fortunately another room was available which we were happy to use in the circumstances. Overall while comfortable the general appearance was tired and in need of modernisation. The breakfast was appropriate and adequate.

Friendly welcome from attentive staff. Small room, with just enough room to squeeze round foot of twin beds, but the room had everything we needed. Breakfast (continental) was ample. Room needed upgrading, really... very squeaky floor (not so good for the folk below us!).

We stayed for 3 nights at the Burns Hotel and found the staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room we booked was quite small, but perfectly adequate and clean and the beds were comfortable and warm. We had continental breakfasts, and were very happy with the food, although we felt that maybe a slightly more efficient toaster would be of benefit. Altogether a very pleasant stay and experience. We would definitely stay there again.

"Great location for London travel. Nice area for exhibitions. "

The room we had was cosy and a little small. A bit drafty around old style windows. Bar very quiet when we were there. Bed was small double, but did the job. A perfect hotel for a nights stay over. Price we paid was just right for what was on offer. . Do be sure to study tfl bus service and Oyster card use. But under rated! Cheap too.

"Very clean and friendly staff, basement room but ok for 1 night."

We booked this hotel as website stated a short walk to Royal Albert Hall which is misleading as it`s a good 40 mins so would have gone for somewhere nearer had we known.

The room was nice, but the bed needed to be replaced. Not very comfortable. We also had problems with our keys to the room. At first we could not get in at all and had to get that taken care of and then when we did get keys that worked only one of them worked even after having the second one replaced three times. It never did work. The staff were so what helpful. Loved the neighborhood!
