"Clean but very dated"

The reception area was very pleasant and the staff were very helpful. The apartment was spacious and had all the basic necessities. However, it didn`t take a particularly close inspection to spot that our apartment was in a dire need of maintenance. There was substantial mould on the windows in the bathroom, woodwork on shelves & furniture was chipped and the walls were in need of painting. It didn`t affect the use of anything in the apartment but I would be reluctant to stay again on that basis. In addition, it was very noisy, even though we were on the fifth floor.

"Good location, huge hotel, nice staff, a bit noisy."

I was happy with my stay as the location suited my needs. The room was clean and comfortable although I was surprised to have a kitchen sink, washing machine and cooking hob in a fairly confined space. The 1950s- style windows were rather inadequate to subdue the external noise and the very windy weather on the night. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

"It`s a Gem in Chelsea"

Excellent location close to South Kensington tube. Great room with just the right facilities for me. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Siddiq especially helpful. Would definitely stay there again

"A hotel not recommended for families."

Myself, daughter and granddaughters were looking forward to a comfortable stay in London.The accomodation was very disappointing being dark, bare and basic. Having spent over£1,300 for 3 nights (plus tickets), we did not expect to see large patches of paint peeling off the skirting boards, large areas of mould on the bathroom ceiling and wall. The sink and bath plugholes were in a bad, dirty state and did`nt work and the shower unit was very rusty and difficult to use. Floorboards were extremely noisy and the safety chain on the main door was broken. Photos were taken of these problems. In no way did we get value for money or a really enjoyable break. J Miller

"Faulty towers"

We were a party of 5 in two apartments. Both were very run down. As we were leaving the cleaners had some doors propped open and those rooms appeared to be far nicer In Their appearance with a higher standard of finish. We wouldn`t go back here.

"Friendly Place"

Nice clean apartment style room. Very friendly staff. Only downside was there being no air con or fan in the room during the heatwave which made for an uncomfortable sweaty night.

"Barely enough room for one person, let alone two"

While everything about the room was technically what we were told we were getting, it was just so small - especially given this was supposed to be an apartment. You could not get two people in the kitchen at the same time, and as for the bathroom, you couldn`t sit straight on the toilet as the sink was in the way. We were there at a time when it nudged 30 degrees outside, and there wasn`t even a fan supplied. The cramped conditions made it almost impossible to sleep in the heat. The floor was laminate, which moved when you walked on it, leaving gaps between the laminate pieces. You could only get round one side of the bed if you shuffled sideways. There were broken hinges on the wardrobe - the list goes on. Very disappointed.

"Ok - clean but a bit tired"

Hotel is clean and staff are friendly. The room we were in was old and needed some TLC. Well located for tube access across London.

"no sleep all night so noisy. "

sorry but this hotel isn`t worth staying in even with the windows all closed it was so noisy. cars racing up and down the road literally all night . People shouting outside .we left the hotel at 8 o`clock in the morning to travel home just to go to sleep The room is so small the gap round the bed is stupid ! don`t get up in the night for a wee else you have to climb over the end of the bed . never book this way again .

"Would benefit with a refurb"

The bathroom would benefit with a refurb, mouldy grouting around the bath. Cracked paint on the ceiling and flaky paintwork on the walls.

"Great overall but needs some sprucing up"

The area was great and the lobby and hallways were really good too. Can`t fault the cleanliness or the beds and bedding but the bathrooms and kitchen were very tired and really could do with some tlc and clean grout. As adults, we knew this wasn`t a huge problem but my 10 year old daughter felt uncomfortable as the flaking paint, rotting wood around the bath and orange grout in some areas made her feel like it was unclean

"Chelsea cloisters "

The apartment is Soooo nice. We had booked a one bedroom apartment, but on arrival was given a complimentary upgrade to a two bedroom. You get a lounge, kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms (one on-suite). The staff at reception are really nice and friendly.

The room is lovely,and the staff were very helpful and polite. One thing to watch is they require photo ID when you booking in, which we didn`t know as going through all the correspondence from hotel direct it was not mentioned lucky for us they were able to use something else.

"Nice location well equipped room"

Nice size room. Was nice to be able to cook breakfast in the small kitchen. Overall the room was clean but showing a fair amount of wear. Lots of road noise that woke us up a few times, however we did have the windows open due to it being fairly warm in the room.

"Friendly and welcoming"

We were delighted with the apartment at Chelsea Cloisters, which was clean and comfortable with everything we required for our brief stay. We would definitely book with them again-perfect for a short break in London and situated in easy reach of a tube station and famous museums. This area of London is attractive and feels safe at night.

We had a great time staying here. It was perfect. The reception staff were excellent, and very professional. Room was perfect for the time we spent in London viewing all the places we wanted to go that were just on our doorstep. Thank you. Will definitely return.

"Does not match the pictures shown before booking. Very very poor accommodation very dirty worn ."

This was my daughters 16th birthday treat, our initial opinion was very good ,the lobby looked exactly as we had seen. On leaving the lift this opinion soon changed. The carpets in the hallways were dirty , fraying and lifting. The walls were dirty and the skirting boards chipped .there was an awful musty smell. On entering our room we soon realised this was not the room we chose from your advertising. The wooded flooring had Chips and holes in it. The kitchen smelt of chip fat which lingered in the whole room. The work tops were chipped and burnt. The cupboard doors were chipped and dirty. The lounge curtains were broken and didn`t close properly. The plug socket by the sofa bed was broken. The windows were dirty and old. The bedroom furniture was chipped.i stripped the bedding before leaving and was shocked to find a stain on the duvet which was crusty . There was cigarette burns in the sofa. The window sills were chipped and flaking. The noise from out side was atrocious!!

"Fantastic location but cramped scruffy rooms"

Good service but rooms were cramped tired looking and full of silverfish and other bugs. No tea or coffee provided.

"Really helpful caring staff"

The staff were lovely. The room we were allocated to originally was somewhat unfinished in the current renovation process. After speaking to the staff, we were sorted instantly and graciously. Overall, a lovely experience.

"Clean and very central to large visitor attractions"

Being greeted by an extremely helpful and friendly doorman who helped us from our taxi into the beautiful hotel foyer it appeared to be probably the poshest hotel I had ever stayed in. Check in was quick and easy and we took the lift to the fourth floor. We walked along a narrow corridor for a fair bit before we found our apartment. Hotel rooms are currently undergoing much needed refurbishment if our 2 bedroom apartment is anything to go by. The rooms were very clean with everything we needed. One bedroom had a roomy en-suite and we also had two small bathrooms which were difficult to manouvre in and the shower in one was very small. This hotel is in an ideal location close to South Kensington Station, Science Museum and the Victoria & Albert which we visited.

"Welcoming, friendly hotel. Apartment was adequate for our needs and the location was excellent."

We enjoyed our three night stay and the value was excellent. We would recommend this hotel, nearby tube station was very convenient and the service received from Hotel Direct was exceptional, very smooth from booking to arriving. I would use this company again our short break was easy to arrange and we did not encounter any problems whatsoever. Definitely recommend this company
