"Not as expected"

Generally disappointing. Booked the most expensive room for three nights expecting a room with luxury and comfort.The bath was high, my wife could not get in or out without assistance.The showerroom had only a monsoon shower head (that was all ), no hooks for towel or robe , no hand shower,or tap, no shelve for placing soap or shampoo, anti slip mat. just a large room. The toilet had a sliding door which could have been served better with a normal door to shut off sound and smell, extract was very minimal.Lighting to all three area switched on together which was not practical when one wants to use the loo late at night. Light from the bathroom area floods into the bedroom through the two entrance and the opening above the bed headboard. There was no air conditioning. The television channel was very limited and at one point had no reception at all. ..

"Excellent location with own car park "

The hotel is ideally located within a 5 minute walk of the town centre, which is good for shopping and there are several cafes and bars/pubs nearby. The rooms were comfortable, with bath/shower and the water was lovely and hot. Breakfast was nice. The hotel has a small car park underneath which can`t be pre-booked but I noticed there is a public car park a few minutes walk away. Would stay again if visiting Cheltenham.
