We enjoyed our stay very much and wouldn`t hesitate to come back or recommend it to others looking for a comfortable stay near the city centre. The quality of the breakfasts was very good, although occasionally the coffee arrived a bit cold. We would not recommend the evening food which we sampled once. The quality was poor. The bedroom was very comfortable but the AC constantly came on, even when we had switched it off and the room got very cold at times.Minor details only! We were very happy and enjoyed good conversations with staff

All reception and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful.However our room was a bit rough around the edges. Water damage on the bathroom door from the shower due to it being open right beside the door. The surface round the basin was stained and shelves dusty. Poor flush on toilet. The rest of the room was OK but very dusty in the corners and sheet had small old stain on it. Positive was a comfy bed.

"Home from Home. Very comfortable and welcoming hotel with attentive staff."
Arrived at the hotel after a long train journey and were welcomed by a very helpful receptionist. Booking in was efficient. Our room was on the ground floor, well appointed with a delicious bar of chocolate to welcome us. Very comfortable bed. Adjoining shower-room was clean with an excellent shower. Shower, hair and hand and body products were lovely. Breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choice, including variations on English breakfasts, several egg options, continental and cheeses/meats etc. One area that might be helpful would be a help yourself toasting section. A special mention for "Tim" who was on duty in the restaurant all the time we stayed at the hotel and despite being extremely busy, looked after guests and staff with kindness, a smile and effortless skill. We did not sample the restaurant food, other than breakfast. Although looking at the menu, we thought it was a little limited on food choice.

Fantastic stay in york at the hotel Indigo. Staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast amazing with freshly cooked food. Would definitely stay again.

I would highly recommend the hotel indigo york Ot was exceptionally cleN. Stagg very friendly and helpful. The only criticism o have was the evening menu. The only thing on offer were pizzas but I would definitely stay there again

"Excellent good quality 4* hotel"
Booked four night for the Christmas markets. This is a really good four star hotel. Nice location, lovely comfortable clean rooms, efficient reception and nice little bar. The full breakfast was really good. Close to weather spoons, nice restaurants and several small pubs. Easy walking distance to city centre and attractions. Altogether an incredible four night stay that really was worth the money. Great value. We will be going back ?

"Clean, modern, comfortable, good breakfast"
Stayed at the Indigo for a four-night city break. Modern building, super shower in the ensuite, very comfortable bed, friendly staff. Room and ensuite were compact but entirely adequate for a short stay. Lots of choice at breakfast and all hot food came straight from the kitchen. Only negative was unreliable hotel wifi; worked only half the time we were there.

"Excellent Value & Service"
Huge thanks to Chris on reception. We had a small technical issue (AC) not working.Chris relocated us without fuss to another room which was just as nice. Amazing breakfast,very polite staff all round.There is nothing negative but all positive. Do not overlook this Hotel its really amazing value in terms of price and exeptionally lovely staff,nothing to much trouble.***************** Thank you *******************

"We had a great stay"
We had a great stay at the hotel INDIGO in York. From the lovely welcome to the very clean room with a very comfy bed and well stocked fridge. The breakfast was excellent with good choices, well cooked and presented and attentive staff who were very obliging.We would recommend this hotel for a stay in York

"Excellent modern hotel within easy walking access to York."
The restaurant has a limited menu but offers good wholesome food. The bar price for a bottle of tonic was excessive! at £2.75 but then I am a Scotsman. My biggest fault with the hotel was the wet room shower which I was unable to use without flooding the whole bathroom. The sloping floor to the shower is not sufficient in size for the shower and the overspray you get. Would I come back? Yes I would as the overall experience was good and the staff very friendly.
