Hotel in great location for train station and city centre. Lots of restaurants and bars within 5 minutes walk from hotel. Reception area very nice and appealing - bedrooms and bathrooms a bit dated but perfectly acceptable. Our only issue was that due to a misunderstanding, our party of 2 were 15 minutes late for buffet breakfast. Although staff were still clearing away, we were unable to obtain even a slice of bread to make some toast. A bit disappointing, so would suggest you check breakfast times when checking in as weekdays different to weekend. On the upside, reception staff were pleasant and couldn`t have been more helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I were to visit Carlisle in the future.
