Excellent stay in a really characterful hotel. Ideal central location adjacent to Glasgow Central station. I`d wondered if it would be noisy but no problem at all - quieter than most city centre hotels I`ve stayed at.

As told to your receptionist earlier, there are some points that took my rating to good and not excellent. We were only with you for two nights and for most of the time, there were plates with leftover food (partly covered with napkins) and glasses and bottles on the floor outside room 201. This was not a good look. In addition, I felt your toilets on level E did not reflect the quality of the rest of the hotel: chipped paint, loose toilet seats etc. Finally, the "bus stop" length queue in your champagne bar at around 6.30 last night was hopeless and spoilt the atmosphere of the bar. There was one person serving!. I told someone about this and it was quickly sorted out. That said, we loved your hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everyone we spoke to was very helpful. Thank you

Great refurbished Victorian Hotel. Large spaces and rooms overlooking train station. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Had a great few days with you. Helpful friendly staff. Good breakfasts. Lovely Christmas decorations. Super room could just do with a bit better lighting to be able to read sat on the settee rather than having to sit at the desk. Welcome reception area with mince pies and refreshing water/fruit drink. Appreciate the need for fresh air to help against Covid but it was pretty chilly sitting on the settees/chairs as both sets of doors permanently open. Lighting in "porch" on to main street could be better as not always easy to see the steps.

The hotel looked fantastic, decorated for Christmas. The rooms were large and comfortable and really clean. Would definitely recommend.
