"Strand Palace Hotel for a 2 day birthday break"

The hotel was very clean and modern and the rooms comfortable. The bed was extra large and really comfy. Food for dinner was excellent though a bit pricey (London prices!) And the queue for breakfast was the longest we have seen. However, it was handled efficiently and the queue was quickly cleared. Again food was great. Highly recommended.

"Just a short walk from many theatres."

Great hotel! Beds so comfortable. A great place to rest and refresh on a busy couple of days in the city. It was such a delight to only have a 5 minute walk back to the hotel after the show in the Novello Theatre.

The hotel was in a great location whoch made walking to various places very easy. Very friendly staff. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. Would return for sure. Highly recommend.

"Strand Palace Hotel"

Strand Palace Hotel 14/15th Dec 24 - Weekend in London (shopping/theatre/food).Arrived approx 11 am on Saturday and advised that a room was available (it was an adjoining room but was ready). We booked a Superior Delux, the room was extremely small, and the bed was a small double.....not really sure how that can be billed as Superior Delux. It was our mistake to accept the room that was ready, I can`t blame the hotel for that. We arrived back in room 233 at approx 10.30 pm, guest next door arrived back approx 11 pm and were loud and inconsiderate. The walls are wafer thin as was the adjoining door, you can hear everything on either side of the room, and the rooms above and below !What wasn`t explained to us was that there was either an event or a nightclub in/close to the hotel. The music went on till 2am, we were not impressed. The hotel is located ideally for Covent Garden (all walkable), but we wouldn`t stay there again. Sorry, it wasn`t a great experience

The hotel is in an excellent position. For sight seeing and the breakfast and service was v good. However the passages and rooms were very dark. The room windows are very small anyway however half of the windows are covered by immovable shutters, which makes the rooms very dark.

"Excellent Hotel"

Well positioned hotel for many of London`s attractions. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and spacious. It was situated over-looking The Strand but we weren`t disturbed by any noise and slept well in the large comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent. Can highly recommend

"The Strand Palace, London"

Lovely hotel on the strand in central London, close to west end shows which are all in walking distance. Staff extremely friendly and polite and very accommodating. Room was very clean but the mattress was a bit uncomfortable and the mini bar was very loud which did hinder sleep, this did not spoil our stay though. The breakfast is lovely, so much choice. My husband was celebrating his birthday and the hotel left a card and chocolates for him as a lovely surprise, can`t ask for more. Been to this hotel before and would book again as location is brilliant and the hotel is comfortable and friendly. Highly recommended.

"Luxury in the heart of London "

"Stunning hotel, very basic room"

I chose The Strand Palace expecting a little bit of luxury and a nice room. The room was basic at best. Very uncomfortable bed, blocked sink that won`t drain and a shower with a fine mist of water.Very disappointed as the rest of the hotel appeared to be very nice. The only bonus was the distance from the theatre was a five min walk

"Strand palace hotel"

The location of the hotel was great. Short distance to Covent Garden and lots of other attractions, Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square all in walking distance. The hotel had lots of friendly helpful staff who were very accommodating but the restaurant was very busy at breakfast time with queues for breakfast and the bedroom was a little on the small side with only one chair but other than that the facilities were good.

"Room a little smaller than expected "

Our room was a little smaller than it looked on photos but it was quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed. Only one armchair in room tho and one of us had to sit on the bed . Hotel itself in prime position for all attractions/ theatres etc . The staff kind, helpful , efficient and curteous . Breakfasts exceptional. Thank you for a lovely stay . Will recommend quite a stunning hotel

"Lovely staff but missing some little touches."

This is a really well located hotel for a theatre back as it just minutes tea from the Vaudeville and Adelphi theatres. I took my husband for his birthday and after emailing the hotel to mention this, they kindly left him a card, balloon and treats in the room, which was very kind. The check in lady, Carmen, was also very nice. However, there were no standard toiletries in our room such as shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, lotion or shower cap and as I`m no good at communicating in person I didn`t want to ask for any. The room was a bit too hot and small for a double room, even if it was billed as cosy. Although, kind of expected in the middle of London.

I enjoyed another nice stay at the Strand Palace Hotel, my room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff at this hotel are friendly, courteous and helpful. I`ll certainly stay here again.

I`ve stayed at the Strand Palace quite a few times now, and am impressed each time.The rooms are very clean and comfortable and have a feel of quality about them,even the room doors are heavy and well made and you feel secure behind them!The downstairs areas are a nice place to be and the breakfast buffet is excellent, I`ll happily stay here again.

"Nice hotel "

I`ve stayed at the Strand Palace a few times now . It`s a clean and well kept hotel,the buffet breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choices. The rooms have a quality feel about them and again,are clean.The hotel is set in a great location with numerous excellent pubs within a few minutes walk,Covent Garden is a 5 minute walk and the Embankment the same. I can highly recommend the Strand Palace.

Hotel was impressive from arrival to departure, staff were all professional with a friendly helpful attitude, all immaculately dressed, special mention needs to go to the barmen in the Gin Palace who were over and above welcoming and knowledgeable. Whole hotel was spotless in every aspect. Would highly recommend
