Excellent warm, cosy hotel. Staff extremely friendly. The only thing was breakfast was included in our package, but we had to go to the diner down the street. The food there was actually pretty crap. I would have preferred that a continental breakfast at the hotel itself be included in our rate. That way we would have been assured a good quality meal. It spoilt the experience for us: being in a nice hotel but eating in the diner down the street.

"HOTEL GREAT - BUT LOSY BREAKFAST DON`T BOTHER WITH MAXIMS !!!!!"

Breakfast at Maxims - Staff were surly - meal took 25 minutes to arrive and it was cold . Plenty of it but not very pleasant. On the second morning we opted to go elsewhere. Would never go again.

"Excellent hotel, spotless, faultless service, good value"

We spent 2 nights here and were extremely happy with our choice. We have no complaints with the hotel only praise. The staff are very polite and efficient, and even stood outside to hail taxis for us. Our only complaint was the breakfast that you organised for us at nearby `Maxims`. It is a disgrace. The food is inedible - burnt bacon, congealed beans, all seved cold and the service was diabolical. We even found hair on the food. We didn`t return there on our second morning, we paid to eat elsewhere. So you should compensate us for not providing an acceptable breakfast which we had paid you for. Furthermore you should cease sending your guests there as you are putting their health at risk and spoiling an otherwise perfect hotel visit.

"Difficult to Find ,Breakfast at cafe 300 yards from hotel"

Whilst the hotel was nicely furnished It was very difficult to find.It took us over one hour on foot.We asked six different hotels and four taxis if they new where it was none of which did,mainly because there was not a decent sign outside only a 10`` by 7`` sign obscured by a road hedge.We had no phone number of the hotel on our itinerary sent.Not exactly opposite Paddington Station as suggested!Breakfast was also off site. Won,t be going back.

"Lovely room, very courteous and helpful staff"

We only stayed for the one night, but found it extremely comfortable. The room was well equipped, clean and spacious. Breakfast at Maxims was OK but I think I would pay the extra next time for breakfast in the room. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent beds and room. I`d use the hotel again, but be aware that they don`t have a bar as such - although (expensive even for London) drinks can be served in the lounge - and as they have no restaurant either, breakfast is served in an external small restaurant round the corner.

We were very impressed with the hotel, the room was excellent. First class. Very impressed. My only complaint would be regarding having to go around the corner to a cafe for breakfast, which I might add was cold and disappointing, only sorry I didn`t book breakfast in the room.

"Very good Hotel would recommend."

This is a wonderful Hotel and I found the staff very pleasant and helpful, had a very relaxing stay in the hotel, the rooms were very clean and tidy ther decor very pleasant, the en-suite had a wonderful shower and a bath that you could lay down in and relax. My only critisisum would be that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, having said that there were pleanty of cafes etc that you were able to get a drink from. Also there was a room service available. Will deffinately stay at this hotel again.

"Small things let it down"

We stayed at the Royal park Hotel for 1 night which when booked included breakfast. When we arrived we found out that the Double room we had booked was not available and we had been put in a twin with the only alternative options available being a tiny box room or pay another £80 to upgrade to a suite. Also when we booked in we were told to fill out the breakfast form and breakfast would be served in the room. However when we checked out the next day they had cjarged us for this and were informed our breakfast we had paid for was served elsewhere although none of this was explained to us when we checked in. Apart from these points which really ditracted from the overall stay the hotel was well presented and comfortable.

"The best London hotel we`ve ever stayed in!"

Our stay with the Royal Park Hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were excellent and dealt with any queries efficiently and professionally. The room was 1st class. The booking was a birthday present for my husband and our stay at the Royal Park made his day!

"Touch of Class"

Excellent hotel, superb location and about the friendliest, most helpful staff I`ve ever come across. I would describe the double room we had as a suite rather than a room! Only reason for not giving the Royal Park an excellent rating is the breakfast situation. Only around the corner but served by probably the most miserable guy on the planet! Would be very happy to stay again.

I was really disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Overall the hotel itself is ok, with good quality rooms. However, I thought some of the basic requirements of a 4* hotel were missing. The staff on reception were less than helpful with queries, and slow to act on requests (including forgetting one completely so I had to go to reception myself to resolve). I thought not providing tea & coffee facilities in the room was a poor trade off for a `welcoming drink` and the breakfast provided at Maxims definitely NOT acceptable - a cheap fry up in a dingy cafe. Having just travelled for over 28 hours from New Zealand to London I was hoping for a few basic comforts like being able to make a cup of tea in my own room without having to call for room service in the early hours of the morning. it was a poor trade off for the hotel I usually book - and 40 pound a night more expensive!

"Great location, friendly staff, fantastic bed!"

Only a few minutes walk from Paddington Station is a haven of peace and quiet. Excellent service from very friendly staff who seem happy in their work. The rooms are small but the beds and pillows the best I`ve had in any hotel. We took the B&B but you have to go to a local cafe. I would recommend room only and then order a continental breakfast in your room. There are no tea making facilities in the room but it wasn`t expensive to buy a pot, though you only get shop brought naff biscuits. I will definately stay again.

The hotel was decorated in the period and was beautiful.It had a real warm comfortable feel about it.We didnt eat so could not comment on that.The staff were really helpful and polite without making you feel uncomfortable.The beds were fantastic ,the first night ive slept without waking up aching.The only thing was ....if you book with hotels direct(or maybe anyother on line)you no longer get the drink on arrival or afternoon tea,,however you do get the champagne between 7pm and 8pm,but dont let the missing treats put you off.The hotel is in a good place ,right over the road from hyde park and its position is really peacefull.also depending on what road you come out of from paddington station make sure you walk past the paddington hilton toward the hotel and not away from it.(some directions can be missleading/

on arrival we where told breakfast was off site we where not informed this at booking stage! however it wasnt a huge problem but never the less we should of been forewarned. Certain staff memebers are rude, rooms where spotless and very well kept overall very good apart from the odd hick ups.

A lovely well presented hotel with smallish but exeptionaly well appointed rooms and ensuite with one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Staff are very helpful and well presented.
