Hotel was very nice especially when I had upgraded our room and to also include breakfast was nice, but made the overall package with show included very expensive!

Hotel room a bit tired.Needs new bath and sink.the sink was all cracked,bath paid an over flow very rusty. Tv didn`t work couldn`t get a signal and phone didn`t have a dial tone.

It`s the second time I`ve stayed and didn`t disappoint. Room with wonderful view now the Katherine`s way. Food good,rooms clean and tidy.Staff welcoming and very helpful and friendly.

We opted for an upgrade on our room! Was told it was £120 for the 4 nights we were there! Which we paid! When we got to checkout they charged us another £40! Said we had been undercharged!!! Total rip off! Would never had payed that had we known!! Lady at desk not helpful at all, so had to pay the £40. Watch what they offer you when you check in!!!

"Charming original features and incredible views, but in desperate need of refurbishment."
Our room had a great view of Katharine`s Dock and we enjoyed the original features of our room on 10th floor, including the original housekeeping bell and wooden wardrobes and cupboards. It was charming and would once have been very luxurious.However the room is now was very dated. Walls were scuffed and the bathroom was scruffy with some rusty and mouldy areas. The room was quite dusty. We would not stay again but it was an interesting experience and the views were unrivalled.

"A great hotel in an excellent area of our capital city."
I booked a Tower Bridge view from our room and it was perfect. A great hotel with a brilliant breakfast to set you on your way for a good day out. Drinking in the hotel is a bit steep now but there are plenty of other venues in close proximity which are good value. Overall a great place to start your day off with plenty of sightseeing close by.

"Lovely hotel, great view, tasty breakfast and friendly staff."
We stayed here for one night to celebrate my partner`s birthday. Upon arrival, we were welcommed by friendly staff, and given a beautiful room with an amazing view. The whole of the hotel was really nice and breakfast in the morning was great, lots of choice and really tasty.

"Booking fiasco "
On arrival room which was booked months in advance was unavailable. Offered cheaper substitute and free breakfasts which we had no choice but to accept however when we got to that room it was already occupied. Then told hotel fully booked and it was two hours later before we arrived at alternative accommodation. All in all total incompetence.

Very expensive for what was a tired run down room . No details of anything in room , Wi-Fi , breakfast times etc. Air con was terrible and window was very small and only opened an inch so very stuffy. Don`t be fooled by voucher that say £7 off if you don`t have room service , as you can`t use at breakfast and if you are checking out that morning you can`t use it !!

Been to the hotel three times now and excellent service,rooms are very clean.snd staff very helpfull and friendly.only one bad note is that they had a private party on the Thursday night so couldn`t go up to the vu bar which was annoying. Think they shouldn`t cater for outsiders when the have a full hotel.

We love this hotel, fantastic location and view of Tower Bridge every morning just amazing,lovely helpful staff, breakfast plentiful and so many choices,rooms comfortable and beds very comfortable after a day sightseeing,will be coming back again!

"Tired and needs some attention "
On arriving at the hotel the weather was warm so we required air conditioning. Unfortunately we could not get this to work. Called reception to report the fault. On arrival back at the room it was still not working. The following day, I wanted to use the hair dryer and found that it was sitting in a pool of water from the leaky air con unit. Again we called reception who sent a maintenance man and he confirmed it was not working so placed a towel to mop up the leak. We were told they would sort it later and provided us with a portable unit. On leaving the room, the electrics then tripped with a bang. Again called reception to report this and another maintenance man got it working. The decor of the room is tired, the bathroom sink had hair line cracks and no plug. The paintwork needs refreshing as do the fixtures. Would not recommend

"Not as expected for a 4 star hotel"
The hotel was clean,however the rooms dated,cracked tiles in the bathroom,a wardrobe which was nailed closed,no remote for the TV. Excellent location,but wouldn`t agree this hotel was a 4 star.

The location of this hotel (as the name suggests!) is brilliant. So many great sights to see by just walking out of the doors - we saw a whole new side of London - fabulous.The room was great - super comfy beds!Self check-in and out was super.

"No a/c in room with temperatures of 28 degrees with no option to change to a different room. "
The bath did not drain the water, blocked drain, bath filled up whilst showering and discovered that the shower and shampoo dispensers were empty. Booked this in May so very disappointed and trust there will be an offer of some compensation.
