"Room good, breakfast average"
Our room was fine. Only criticism was breakfast. Fried food was kept Luke warm under heated shelf so not nice. No trays provided so had to keep shuttling to and fro to our table.

"Clean hotel, but issues with price"
We booked the Thistle Hotel for 2 nights for our theatre break. The hotel was clean and the facilities were very good. I had paid for bed and breakfast through hotel direct, however I was informed that breakfast wasn`t included in the price and I had to pay again. I tried to inform the staff that it had been paid, however I was advised that I had to complain to Hotel Direct as it wasn`t their issue. Despite paying for a 2nd time, I was told by the breakfast receptionist on the following morning that I hadn`t paid. I do believe this hotel need to upgrade their administration.

"Perfect stay "
The hotel was perfect. It`s really central and easy to get to other parts of London. Russell Square tube station is really close by and there`s a bus stop right outside. The staff were incredible. The junior suite we had booked was not available but they made sure we got rooms close together and even gave us free breakfast for the inconvenience. I would definitely stay again.

"Comfortable "
The hotel was friendly, welcoming. Good value for money. Breakfast was good.Room was comfortable with all basic amenities. We were put on the 7th floor but weren`t told that the lift only went to floor 6 and we had to use stairs from 6 to 7! No air conditioning and it was 33 degrees outside so was uncomfortable for sleeping ( we did have a plug in fan provided but this wasn`t very effective)Clean and well situated though.

"An enjoyable stay "
We stayed as a party of two...mum and daughter. Our room was very nice...a slight problem with the curtains...one could not be opened at all...but otherwise very well equipped...some nice touches such as chocolates and bottles of both still and sparkling water. Nice to have a fan too during such warm weather 128512;

Staff very attentive. Had a single room, plenty of room for me - stayed for 2 nights. Had no noise issues, room was at back of the hotel. Room clean. 20 minute walk from Euston station. Easy access for tube stations.

Clean room with good shower and comfy bed. My daughter received a goody bag on arrival which she was delighted with. Staff very pleasant. A fan, hair dryer and iron were provided. Room service each day. Excellent location within easy reach of covent gardens and the theatre. On a busy main road so safe walking back to the hotel at night.

Hotel was in great location for theatre, staff were very good and very helpful, the room was at the back of the hotel and was very quiet, beds very comfortable, lots of tea coffee and two bottles of water, there was a fan in the room which we used as was very hot, we didn`t have breakfast as was very overpriced, but when we checked out we asked if we could leave our bags at reception while we went to the museum, the lady receptionist was very helpful, would recommend this hotel.

Really nice staff and breakfast was good. However the room had two plug only which is a nightmare when both occupants have phones, watches. Meant we had to keep the fan off to charge and the room was absolutely boiling. Terrible view also

Very friendly reception at hotel. The member of staff identified that as an elderly couple that we may have had difficulty with access to the allocated room. Finding an improvement was not a straightforward task, but was achieved smoothly. The room was comfortable and well equipped in accordance to its ratingAn excellent breakfast, worth the extra charge above our room only package price.

"The Hotel is a bit tired and needs decorating and repairing in places. "
The Hotel is in a good position. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was not available on arrival so we had to wait for about half an hour to check in. We booked breakfast for the first day. We were then informed that the lift was broken, We are in our seventies and our room was on the 3rd floor. A member of staff was available to carry our cases up to our room. We did voice our concerns to the reception staff in the morning. They were most apologetic. While we were having breakfast we were told that as a gesture of good will we would not be charged for our breakfast on the following morning. However, on checking out the following day they had no knowledge of our free breakfast deal. We did convince them in the end and got our free breakfast. A bit of communication would have avoided this. All in all a good trip. Probably won`t stay in this hotel again which is a shame, the staff were lovely. The lift was out of service for the entire stay.

Easy to get from the tube to the hotel and girl on reception was very efficient. Room very nice and clean. Our windows rattled all night even though we stuffed them with tissues. It`s noises in London so difficult to sleep with traffic and the windows
