If walking, with Prince`s St gardens on your right, turn right onto Market St, and continue to junction, turning left onto North Bank St. Turn right onto Bank St and continue onto George IV Bridge. Turn right onto Victoria St which turns slightly left and becomes West Bow. Turn right onto Grassmarket, where you will find the hotel on the left numbers 31-35.
BY RAIL: From Waverley Station, follow directions above.

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel clean, food good and rooms spacious with everything you need"
There was a slight problem with our booking - the hotel did not have the required information about the party but the problem was resolved immediately and we had two spacious rooms. The staff were very friendly and our hotel stay was fantastic, suiting all our individual needs (adults and children combined). The pool was lovely and breakfast excellent. Thank you.

"Top of the world"
What really lovely hotel, and what a view from the restaurant of Edinburgh castle. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, good for location and nightlife, and right on the doorstep of the Royal Mile.

"Comfortable stay"
Nothing wrong with the room, it was clean and tidy. Very well situated for the Castle and other attractions. An advantage was the onsite car park at a lot less than other hotels in the area charge. I would stay here again. Staff were very welcoming and helpful

"Fabulous staff"
Although our stay was cut short due to bereavement the time we spent at the hotel was fabulous. The staff bent over backwards to help us leave as quickly as we could and even cancelled tours we had booked on our behalf. We will definitely be booking again in the near future.

"Constant over-booking"
I have booked twice with the Apex International in the last month. Both times I informed them that I would have a late check-in. Yet on both occasions they over-booked and had to send me to another hotel. Shuffling between hotels is the last thing you need when you are staying away for business and working late. The other problem with the Apex International is that there is sometimes a long queue for a table in the mornings. The restaurant cannot cater effectively for all the guests when the hotel is full. In short, I would not recommend this hotel for business travellers who are looking for reliability and efficiency

"Very comfortable, helpful friendly staff."
Very good location with lovely view of castle. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff are very friendly giving an efficient service. Very good breakfast in dining room with fantastic views. Good, warm indoor swimming pool. Safe (first come first served) parking in this city centre hotel. The only problem related to the sound proofing of the front rooms (which are double glazed) in that noisy drinkers - popping outside for a smoke? - can interrupt your night`s sleep.
