Situated on the edge of the South Downs National Park and just a 5-minute drive from the centre of Winchester, the Holiday Inn is an ideal location from which to explore the city centre and surrounding area. Winchester Cathedral in the heart of the city, is steeped in medieval history and is also the surrounded by historic buildings and architecture. Jane Austen spent the last years of her life in the city and visitors to the cathedral can visit her memorial stone. Winchester is a very walkable city, there are also plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars, many with pavement tables as well as independent shops and boutiques. The University of Winchester is a 10-minute drive from the hotel and Winchester School is approximately 15 minutes away. For visitors wishing to travel further afield Southampton is less than 30 minutes away by car or train.

Getting there:

BY TRAIN: From Winchester Station the hotel is approximately 10 minutes by taxi.
BY CAR: From M3, exit at junction 9 towards Spitfire Link/A272 and at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Spitfire Link/A272. After 0.9 miles at Spitfire Roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Petersfield Rd/A31 and continue for 1.6 miles. At Percy Hobbs Roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Alresford Rd/B304. Turn left onto Telegraph Way and the hotel will be on the left.
