Getting there:BY TRAIN: From Waverley Train Station. Turn right out of the station and cross Princes Street, proceed north to St Andrews square. Pass along the eastern side of the square until you reach the junction with York Place. Turn right along York Place for 150 metres where the hotel is situated opposite St Pauls and St Georges church. The walk will take approximately 8 minutes.

BY CAR: Follow signs to Edinburgh City Centre. Follow Queensferry Rd to city centre and turn left onto Queen St. Drive to end of Queen St and continue onto York Place where the hotel is situated on the right hand side of the road opposite St. Paul`s and St. George`s Church.

Good location,helpful and attentative staff.Comfy well decorated room.Only downside was breakfast which was hit and miss if overcooked.Overall recommend and return to.

"Great hotel close to the centre"
The Hotel Indigo was a great place to stay, only a short walk from the stationThe hotel consists of 4 Georgian town houses that have been tastefully converted into a hotel. The rooms are great, bathroom good with a rainfall shower. Breakfast excellent with a varied choice. All the staff were helpful with any enquiries we had. Overall could not fault

We came to Edinburgh for a few days to explore a city we have not been to. The hotel was only  a few minutes from the Waverley station but away from the main street. The hotel was very clean and fresh. The room was very cosy, but suitable for our needs, to have a comfy bed  after a long day walking and a good breakfast. I wasnt too sure about having the `large` tv at the end of the bed on an unit, making less space to move around. Maybe it would have been better on the wall? On the whole everything was very good, the staff very friendly and helpfull, making it a wonderful stay.

"2nd stay at this hotel....."
A lovely stay again . Staff professional ,very helpful & friendly . The only criticism  we had was tge vegetarian  brekkie slightly disappointed.....but eh that was our choice to choose it that morning . Thanks for a great stay
