Opened in 2023, the 4* Mercure Hotel Paignton has 161 rooms with contemporary décor, many of which overlook the seafront and the beach, which is just moments away. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and have ensuite bathrooms with rainfall shower and complimentary toiletries. In-room amenities include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, tea & coffee making facilities and hairdryer. The larger Superior and Deluxe rooms also include Nespresso machines and bathrobes. The onsite Latitude 50 Restaurant and Bar takes advantage of the hotels fantastic views as does the bar`s sun terrace where guests can relax and enjoy a cocktail or a meal overlooking the seafront and the beach. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the design of the hotel some Classic Rooms have restricted views from the window for extra privacy. Pet friendly rooms are also available for an additional charge that should be arranged directly with the hotel.

Hotel and location:

The 4* Mercure Paignton Hotel, located on The Esplanade, overlooks the seafront and Paignton Pier. It is also a short walk from the town centre, Paignton Railway Station is 7-minutes walk away with services to Torquay which is just a 4-minute journey. The hotel is also within easy reach of miles of award winning sandy beaches. The Dartmouth Steam Railway is 7 minutes walk from the hotel where visitors can take a train to Kingswear and from there a short ferry ride across to Dartmouth. Paignton Zoo Environmental Park, an enjoyable day out for both children and adults, is approximately 2 miles away, 8 minutes by car or an 18-minute bus journey.

Getting there:

BY TRAIN: From Paignton Railway Station exit onto Victoria Street and turn right onto Torbay Road. After 0.2 miles turn left onto Esplanade Road and after 0.1 miles the hotel will be on the left.
BY CAR: From the M5 continue onto Devon Expressway following signs for Plymouth/Torquay/A380. After 2.3 miles use the left 2 lanes to turn slightly left onto A380 (signs for Torquay). Continue for 10 miles and then keep right to continue on Besigheim Way/Penn Inn Flyover/A380 for the next 5.7 miles. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Preston Down Road. After 1.2 miles Preston Down Road turns right and becomes Sandringham Gardens. Continue for 0.2 miles onto Upper Headland Park Road and then onto Seaway Road. After 0.2 miles Seaway Road turns right and becomes Marine Drive/B3201 and after 0.7 miles the hotel will be on the right.
