The Preston Leyland Hotel is the ideal location for touring surrounding areas including the Lake District. Due to its central location in the northwest of England it is within easy driving distance of many areas of interest. Just minutes from Junction 28 of the M6 the hotel is within 30 minutes of Manchester, Liverpool and Blackpool. Within 50 miles of the hotel, less than 1 hours drive visitors can enjoy a days walking in the Lake District. A family day out to Blackpool or to see the illuminations is also just conveniently just a 30-minute drive, 25 miles away. Ample free parking is available at the hotel. Keen golfers will also find this an ideal hotel, Leyland Golf Club is less than 1 mile away and there are number of other courses within 20 miles to try.
Getting there:
BY ROAD: Heading north on the M6, take the M65 exit and keep right to follow signs for Bamber Bridge/A6/B6258. At the roundabout take the 4th exit onto the M6 slip road to M58/B`ham/L`pool and after 0.5 miles merge onto M6. After 1.4 miles at junction 28, take the B5256 exit to Leyland and after 0.2 miles turn left onto Leyland Way/B5256 and after 0.3 miles turn left onto Ryden Avenue and the hotel will be on your left.
Heading south on A1(M) take the A66/A6108 exit towards Brough/Penrith/Richmond/Scotch Corner. At the roundabout take the 5th exit onto A66 and continue to follow this route. After approximately 28 miles use the left lane to merge onto A685 via the slip road to Kendal and continue on for another 15 miles. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the M6 slip road and keep left at the fork, following signs for Preston/Lancaster/M6(S) and merge onto M6. After 53 miles keep right at the fork to stay on M6 and at Junction 28 take the B5256 exit to Leyland. Turn left onto Leyland Way/B5256 and then left again onto Ryden Avenue and the hotel will be on your left.
