The resort is only a 15 minute drive from Padstow, where guests can visit the National Lobster Hatchery, enjoy a meal at one of Rick Stein`s many restaurants or simply enjoy the ambiance of the towns working harbour. If a beach holiday is more to your taste then you will be spoilt for choice with over 10 of the county`s finest beaches all within a 30 minute drive of the resort. These include the famous Fistral Beach in Newquay and Watergate Bay, where guests can try surfing or just enjoy the stunning scenery. The town of Newquay with its many shops, restaurants, bars and attractions is only a 20 minute drive from Retallack and is the perfect destination for guests looking for a little more excitement. Guests looking to explore further south can visit the famous seaside resort of St Ives with its many galleries and boutiques, or continue even further and explore Land`s End or catch a performance at the outdoor cliff top theatre at the Minnack. Getting there:
BY TRAIN: The nearest station to the Retallack Resort is Newquay Station and a taxi will cost approximately £15-£18 from the taxi rank outside the station.
BY PLANE: The nearest airport is Newquay Airport, with flights available from a range of locations across the UK as well as some limited flights from Europe. A taxi from the airport to the resort will cost approximately £20 and it is advised to book in advance.
BY CAR: Follow the M5 as far as Exeter and exit at junction 31 onto the A30and follow signs to Bodmin/Okehampton. After 75 miles exit the A30 and take the A39 towards Newquay/A392/St Dennis/B3279/Indian Queens, at the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A39 heading towards Wadebridge/Newquay/A392. After 5 miles at Winnards Perch roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the B3274, after 500 metres turn left and follow the signs for the Retallack Resort and Spa.
