Located in 2 acres of sub-tropical gardens the hotel offers stunning views and a quiet haven in which to relax. Guests can walk the coastal path to explore the traditional fishing harbour of Polperro which is a 40 minute walk away, whilst the more energetic may like to walk to Looe which is 90 minutes away. Those of a horticultural nature are well catered for with the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project both being within a 40 minute drive of the Talland Bay Hotel. If you are looking to explore further afield can enjoy the sandy beaches of Newquay as well as the many galleries and shops of St Ives, you can also enjoy a show at the Hall for Cornwall in Truro which is a 40 minute drive from the hotel.
Getting there:
BY TRAIN: The nearest mainline station is Liskeard, which is approximately 6 miles from the hotel, alternatively there is a branch line to Looe which is around 3 miles from the Talland Bay, the hotel can arrange taxis from either station if guests contact reception.
BY CAR: Follow the M5 when it ends at Exeter following signs for the A38 to Plymouth and Liskeard, cross the Tamar Bridge (There is a toll of £1.50 per car when crossing from Cornwall to Devon). Follow the A38 through the Saltash Tunnel and at the roundabout take the second exit to Liskeard A38. At the next roundabout take the first exit to Torpoint A374, take the next right signposted for Looe. Follow the road through Hessenford and take the right turn at Widegates and follow the road to Looe via Sandplace. Go through Looe over the Bridge to West Looe and follow the road to Polperro A387. Take the second left to Talland Bay, which is directly after the right turn to Pelynt. Finally follow the road down towards the bay and the hotel is on the left hand side before you reach the sea.
