Room and hotel facilities:

During their stay at the 4* Imperial Hotel guests have complimentary use of the hotel`s leisure facilities. There are two swimming pools, indoor open all year round and outdoor, subject to weather conditions. There is also a fully equipped gym, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Spa treatments are also available, (these should pre-booked and paid for directly with the hotel). All of the 152 bedrooms, which are spread over 7 floors, are elegantly styled. Many have sea views and some have balcony or terrace. In-room amenities include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer and dressing tables. All have ensuite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. Suites with separate lounge and sea views also include bathrobes and slippers. The hotel`s restaurant, which also has panoramic views across the bay is open daily for breakfast and dinner every evening. Light bites and drinks are available throughout the day in the Palm Court Lounge with a terrace where again guests can take in the fabulous views and enjoy the hotel`s popular Afternoon Tea.

Hotel and location:

From it`s cliff top position over looking Torbay the historic Imperial Hotel offers excellent leisure facilities and accommodation as well as a great location from which to explore the local area. Known as the English Riviera, Torquay`s award winning beaches make it a popular destination for all ages. Torre Abbey Sands, is a pleasant 20 minute walk along the seafront from the hotel, where visitors can also walk out along the Princess Pier. Just 0.5 miles, 10 minutes walk from the hotel is Torquay Marina, where, as well as admiring the boats and sea views, visitors can choose from the many surrounding restaurants, bars and cafes. Torquay Railway Station is approximately 1.5 miles from the hotel, an 8 minute taxi ride.

Getting there:

BY CAR: From M5 take the Devon Expy/A38 following signs for Plymouth/Torquay/A380. Use the left 2 lanes to turn slightly left onto A380 following signs for Torquay. After 10 miles keep right to continue onto Besigheim Way/Penn Inn Flyover/A380 and continue to follow A380 for 3.1 miles. Make a slight left onto S Devon Expy and after 0.2 miles turn left onto Hamelin Way. Continue onto Riviera Way/A3022 and continue to follow this route for 1.7 miles. Make a slight left onto Newton Rd and then turn right onto South Street. Continue onto Belgrave Road and then onto Torbay Road. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Cary Parade and at the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Victoria Parade. Turn left onto Beacon Hill which will merge onto Parkhill Road. Turn right and the hotel will be on the left.
