The North Star Hotel and Premier Club Suites is a 4 star city centre hotel located in the heart of Dublin, just a 5 to 10 minutes` walk from Dublin`s main O`Connell Street. An equally short walk takes you to O`Connell Bridge which strides the river Liffey to Trinity College, Temple Bar and St Stephen`s Green. Located opposite the Irish Financial Services Centre (IFCS), Connolly Railway Station with a Luas tram stop outside the hotel, it is also just around the corner from the central bus station, providing excellent transport links both in and out of Dublin. A mere 10 minute walk from the hotel will take concert goers to the O2 venue and Croke Park Stadium and rugby fans to the Aviva Stadium which is also 2 stops on the DART, Dublin Area Rapid Transport. The Dublin Convention Centre and the Grand Canal Theatre are also just a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus service to and from the Dublin Airport (chargeable).
Getting there:
FROM DUBLIN AIRPORT BY AIRPORT BUS : You are in luck! The airport bus stops outside the North Star hotel.
FROM DUBLIN AIRPORT BY CAR: Follow signs for the city centre. This will take you onto the Drumcondra Road. As you approach Dublin centre Drumcondra Road becomes Dorset Street. You`ll reach a major junction with North Circular Road. Turn left and continue for half a mile to the cross roads with Summerhill Park. Go straight over onto Portland Row and 1/4 mile further Amiens Street is on the right. The North Star hotel is down on the right hand side towards the Custom House/ River Liffey end of Amiens Street.
FROM DUBLIN PORT OR DUN LAOGHAIRE BY CAR: Follow signs for Dublin centre. Cross O`Connell Bridge and take an immediate right on the north side of the bridge into Eden Quay. Take the second left into Beresford Place and fifth left into Amiens Street. The North Star Hotel is 300 metres up on the left.
Shuttle Bus Service: The hotel offers a shuttle bus service charged at to and from Dublin Airport. The service runs from the hotel to the airport every other hour starting at 5:10 until 21:10 and from the airport to the hotel every other hour starting at 8:00 until 20:00. The shuttle bus service can be arranged through the hotels reception and is charged at 4 euro per person.
