The 4* Winchester Hotel and Spa has 96 rooms all of which have contemporary decor and are fully air-conditioned. In-room amenities include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV with Freeview, tea & coffee making facilities and mini fridge and ensuite bathrooms with power showers. Suites also include super-king size beds and relaxing lounge area and SMART TV with internet access. During their stay guests have use of the hotel`s spa facilities which include plunge pool, steam room, sauna, hydro pool, and fitness suite. Treatments are also available which should be arranged in advance directly with the hotel. Alfred`s Restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner offering a modern European menu, there is also a terrace with outdoor heaters for al-fresco dining. For more casual dining, light meals and snacks are available in Alfred`s Bar where guests can also enjoy a relaxing drink the outdoor lounge. The 4* Winchester Hotel & Spa is a 5-minute walk from Winchester railway station and 1 mile, approximately 15 minutes walk, into the city centre. The historic Winchester Cathedral and its surroundings, offer visitors the opportunity to explore the stunning architecture, from medieval and later times which is visible throughout the city. Both Winchester University and Winchester School are approximately 1 mile, less 15 minutes walk from the hotel and Winchester School The city centre has plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars, many with outside seating all year round as well as independent shops to browse in. Literary fans may wish to view Jane Austen`s burial place and memorial in Winchester Cathedral. Within easy driving distance is Jane Austen`s House in Chawton, 17 miles, 30 minutes drive away.

Getting there:

BY TRAIN: Exit Winchester Railway Station onto Station Road and continue onto Station Hill. Turn left onto Andover Road and then right onto Worthy Lane. After 0.1 miles turn left and then almost immediately right and the hotel will be on the left.
BY CAR: From the M3 exit at junction 9 towards Winchester By-Pass/A34. At the roundabout take the 4th exit onto Winchester By-Pass/A34 and continue for 1.1 miles before making a slight right. After a further 0.6 miles turn left onto London Road/B3047 and continue to follow this route for 1.7 miles. Continue onto Worthy Lane, turning right and then right again. The hotel will be on the left.
