The Show The ever-popular Cinderella is coming to The Vaults this winter but with a bit of a twist. The characters from the classic tale come together not at a beautiful ball but at a traditional English Pub! History of Cinderella There have been many versions of the Cinderella story, the oldest of which being 'Rhodopis' which was published in 7 BC. The most commonly known version was published by Charles Perrault in 1697 and from then has been reinvented many times. Cinderella first hit our screens in 1899 but it became popular in western countries when the animated classic was released by Walt Disney Pictures in 1950. Walt Disney Pictures released a live-action re-imagining of Cinderella in 2015 starring Lily James, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter and Richard Madden.
